Frequently Asked Questions
Can Diet Affect Gene Expression?
Diet plays a huge role in Gene Expression. Scientists are finding that various compounds can turn gene functions on and off. Various compounds from natural foods, such as, vegetables, fish and meats, nuts, and other foods like alcohol and sugar can have immediate and drastic effects on our genes.
Our beliefs about ourselves and the world around us change our perceptions. Our thoughts and perceptions affect our brain chemistry, which means our beliefs, right now and over time, can affect our gene expression.
What we use for DNA Testing?
We use Ancestry.com’s AncestryDNA Testing (www.ancestry.com). AncestryDNA is a cutting edge DNA testing service that utilizes some of the latest autosomal testing technology to revolutionize the way you discover your family history. This service combines advanced DNA science with the world’s largest online family history resource to predict your genetic ethnicity and help you find new family connections. It maps ethnicity going back multiple generations and provides insight into such possibilities as: what region of Europe are my ancestors from, or am I likely to have East Asian heritage? AncestryDNA can also help identify relationships with unknown relatives through a dynamic list of DNA matches.
What are the benefits of genetic testing?
Genetic testing has potential benefits whether the results are positive or negative for a gene mutation. Test results can provide a sense of relief from uncertainty and help people make informed decisions about managing their health care.

What to Expect?
Your first appointment will consist of a 2 hour in-depth analysis of all current health issues, family history, symptomology, current medications, supplements, blood work, and your current health goals. You will receive your first kinesiology session where you will lay down on a comfortable table and I will use “muscle testing” to detect any imbalances in your body or organs. A beginning supplement program will be designed with instructions and a follow-up appointment in approximately 3-4 weeks will be scheduled.
Follow-up appointments will consist of 1-1/2 to 2 hours to review and re-evaluate progress and levels of imbalance using kinesiological testing and a revised supplement and/or diet and exercise program will be generated. We may include specialized testing like food or environment allergy testing, emotional work, etc. on subsequent visits. Muscle testing will allow your body to tell me the exact next direction it would like to go for the greatest benefit to your healing.
*Please note that though most clients notice changes after the very first or second visit, some deeper-rooted health issues may take longer to clear and will require considerably more time, resources, and commitment to experience lasting results. I always remind clients that they did not experience disease and imbalance overnight and that there is not a “quick fix” or single pill that will heal the depth of their challenges. But I can guarantee that there is a core reason for their issues and there is in fact a road back to a quality life with little or no symptoms. Depending on one’s time, energy, desire and budget we can work together to create a wonderful plan of healing for you and your family.
